Laid Off
Losing a job that you’ve worked in for a period of time can be traumatic. Whether you’ve suddenly been let go with little warning or you’ve known exactly when your last day of work is, it’s important to recognize that losing your job is a significant event in your life. Don’t underestimate the impact losing your job can have on your health, relationships and your self-esteem. Give yourself time to adjust and think things through. Don’t isolate yourself. Get involved with volunteering or take a class at night school. Take heart; there is life after layoff.
